Hmmm- was just reading a thread about someone having a Davis that was branded LaReine
So it looks like we've found three manufacturers it could have been.
Wow - just found a thread from three years ago - another person bought this machine (same number) and was asking about it. Though the picture is gone, the "expert" said it was similar to Eldredge and Davis of that time period.
Now no expert would EVER get a Davis and Eldredge mixed up - they are very dissimilar in some important areas.
So either this is an April Fool's Day joke, or it actually is the same machine, or that is not a serial number, but a patent number.
