Default 1870 American #2 "the beast"

Ok, I bought this on the auction site, and it is really cool. It is pretty rare. I have not found other web pictures of a #2 so far.... This is the #2 "Manufacturing Machine for family, tailoring and leather work"

it is basically a #1 on steroids. They even use the same shuttle and bobbin.

This one was made in 1873. ( I mistyped the title sorry) It has a 4 digit serial number (always cool) and this is one of the earliest machines made to use round bobbins. (in a vibrating shuttle no less!)

This is after an oil on cloth wipe down to clean off the dirt and spider stuff
