As to where you use your colors -- I planned this as a controlled scrappy with the 3 similar colors in a unit going together. It seems to have more cohesion and less confusion this way, but you can do anything you want, all I ask if that the places where I say specific amounts per color as in B and C be kept this way or it will be sort of a mish mash if you do all an uncontrolled color placement. But Yes, color A can definately be color B in another block as long as you are still keeping the color wheel colors more or less together. For example, in the quilt I made my friend I made 3 blocks from the red family, which would be 9 different reds if all different, but I had 6 (some dark pink, a maroon, a light red, etc, you get the idea) and usisng them in different positions made it work out fine. Hopefully I haven't confused you more!
