It depends on how you want to set your rosettes. They can be pieced right to each other or little diamonds can go between the hexies. Bonnie Hunter is working on a huge Hexue quilt and she removes her papers after a hexagon is joined on all sides to other hexies.
I hadn't even thought of putting diamonds between them!
Thanks for the tip on removing papers once all sides are joined. I was thinking of doing this, but wasn't sure if it would be a mistake.
