I absoutely agree with you. If I buy a model airplane kit or a model car kit, the instructions (patterns) are included with the materials in the box. If I buy balsa wood or plastic parts separately, I expect to buy the instructions separately. A quilt "kit" is no more than separate pieces of fabric in a bag with a picture on it if it does not include the pattern. Such a collection does not qualify as a "kit." I would be very hesitant to do business with a shop owner, whether a LQS or an on-line business, if the owner operates on the motto "Let the buyer beware!" froggyintexas
