Yep, Harbor freight (and probably other hardware type stores) have the suction cup handle type things. After DH got me one for quilters at the cost of about $16 or $19 for Christmas, he found them for $6 at Harbor freight and got me another, also the 4 inch for $3.99 and the 2 inch for 99 cents.
I tried the plastic film and it doesn't work. DH got me both clear plastic dots and sand paper. I like them both, but I forget they are there and they catch on the fabric, but I'm learning.
