This is the way I do my quilts. Due to physical problems (my left knee doesn't bend) I can't get down on the floor. So I had to experiment with different ways to sandwich them and this was the easiest and quickest. And, really did work the best. If you don't own a Kwik Klip Safety Pin fastening tool, you need to invest in one. They are reasonably priced (especially with a Joann's coupon). Sure does save on your hands & fingers. Makes pinning the quilt much faster & easier.
