Default Almost done: My 2nd Original 3D Maze Quilt

Hi all! Here is my progress on my second 3D quilt! I have the top almost done; it needs an outside border, then quilting, then a binding. I went to my LQS for some help with the fabric. I had the swirlly fabric (George Mendoza) and the purple fabric. I needed a fabric for the path and really wanted a bright green. Of course It's not popular right now, so we auditioned several fabrics. The sweet lady at the shop assured me that the green we chose for the pathway read darker than the swirly fabric. As I was making my quilt, the path wouldn't jump out at all. The swirly fabric looked like the path and it looked odd. Yikes, I thought. I have all the fabric cut and about half the blocks made. I decided to have a little faith and finish the quilt and hope for the best. At the worst, I figured it could be an illusion quilt. You would have to make your eye see the path.

After all was said and done, it turned out nicely. I don't have any trouble seeing the pathway now. I also figured, at eye level, and if the kids are playing right on the quilt, they aren't going to notice any difference.

I have a third maze I'm working on and it's a little smaller but is a little more trickier. I also have a queen size in the works. I hope you enjoy looking at this quilt as much as I enjoyed creating it and putting it together. I've loaded several pictures so you can get an idea of the colors of the fabrics. It seems that none of them are the actual colors. LOL!

Just in case you are wondering, this quilt pattern is original. I did not copy it from anywhere - it came out of my playful mind. If you have any questions, you can pm me!
