the beige looks like a synthetic velour like is/was used in bath robes--not heavy enough for car upholstery and most of upholstery fabric for cars doesn't have stretch to it. The green from your picture looks like a flannel--if you are thinking it's not cotton, maybe it's one with poly blend? A flame test (be careful when doing this!) will tell you that--a poly will melt more.
