Champagnolle

This pattern is from Judy Martin's book "Scrap Quilts." I was listening to Barbara Kingsolver's book "Flight Behavior" when I was making it. Her book is about Monarch Butterflies. I just had to add a few to the quilt. The butterflies machine appliqued with a little paint added. I put the white spots on them with a plastic-headed pin dipped in paint. The green trellis strips are filled with thick cording.
