Default Geometry - My MQX Entry 2015

I entered the MQX (Machine Quilters Exposition) quilt show. This was my very first entry into a show I was very nervous and not entirely sure I did the right thing, but will say it was quite wonderful to stand behind two random ladies who were saying "that has got to be done by machine, no way that was hand guided" I stepped out of my comfort zone quite a bit and did really well. Out of the 120 possible points, I received an 89. And for comparison, the Best in Show only scored 110. Not too shabby for my first show piece. I need to work more on my tension and start/stops, those were my 2 lowest categories, but got 8 out of 10 on most of the other categories.

So without further ado here is the information and photos

Quilt Name: Geometry
Pattern: Custom Design by me
Fabric: Moda solid and various batiks
Batting: Quilters dream wool (one layer)
Thread: Fil-Tec Glide and YLI Sparkle
Machine bound with couched thread on binding.

And here is a shot of me with my quilt Mom was tired and didnt want to take the photo, she took 4 already on her phone

And the very best part of the whole show experience is that my mom flew up from AL to see my quilt in the show. It was the best of all.....
