I confess...that i have cheated the one time i made this pattern for someone who wanted it.
I made circle templates out of card stock.....cut fabric circles about 3/8" bigger and basted around the edge - laid the card stock circle in the middle, pulled the thread to shape the circle....then starched and pressed and removed the card stock. (each one is good for several circles if you are careful and don't get them too wet) I made all the necessary circles.....then cut them in 4 pieces and laid them on the squares of fabric.... Blind stitched (of course you could machine stitch) around the circle arcs - then removed the under fabric and sewed the squares together.
Didn't really need a pattern.....i used only 2 colors....and just looking at one of the quilts you can see how the blocks go together.
It took WAY less time, and a LOT less frustration than i would have spent had i done it the "traditional" way.
