Kits aren't my first choice. I had a couple that were given to me as gifts years ago. I finished one and gave it to my BIL. I will finish the other one and give it to my son after I finish my daughter's quilt.
It feels more like "mine" if I try and use my own fabric and cut and plan it myself.
