As mentioned by someone else, the HQ has been around for awhile but the Janome is just getting into quilt machines. I have the Innova and can't be happier. The customer service is great, most problems if any can be fixed by you and a call to their customer service guy walking you thru it. It takes just about every type of thread you can imagine and the price is comparible to others out there. I have APQS in town here but I picked the Innova. Started small with a 9" Viking and moved up the ladder to the 26" Innova. Wanted to be sure I'd enjoy quilting before I plunked down the big bucks. I have a 3rd party robotic system on mine which can be used on most any of the quilt machines out there for about half the price of other robotics and you don't need the lightening stitch to run it. If you plan to go free motion, I'd recommend the lighting stitch. I tested out their regular stitch regulator and then the lightening stitch and added the lightening stitch.
Best thing to do is play with all the machines you can find with and without robotics. I asked around in my area to see if I could test out their machine systems. Quilters are so friendly to help out.
