SteveH- that is so neat! it's on my "someday" list to make a dress using the older methods, and the older machines too.
I do know one person on another board that makes period clothing, and she also does them as accurate as she can. However she goes back a bit older, and does a lot of hand sewing. Me - I'm OK using a treadle, but that is as far back as I want to go.
