I was told the timing was off and the newer machines with any electronics are VERY fragile and a bump, drop or setting down to hard can knock it out of time.
I never heard that before. If the machines are that fragile then none would ever be sold.
Every time my machine does that it was because I forgot and threaded the needle right to left. It has never happened on the machines that thread front to back.
