I do cut 5" squares out of my scraps. I love the Pat Speth method of using 5" squares in her nickel square patterns. They are all scrappy but very interesting quilt designs. I'm like someone else who said the 3" squares would make great 2 1/2" HST. You could do a scrappy Lady of the Lake with them. Susan
