Looking at the selection of fabrics, and the era of the fabric, I am also going speculate ,,she/he was a farmer. They wasted nothing. Hubby's shirting, mama's sunday dress and aprons, and a few feed sacks, and I can just see her/him working nights to put it together to keep a loved one warm...now one of yours. The maker would be proud.
