Welcome aboard Annielynn. You're on the right track bribing your husband with tools.
I actually almost like that desk though I'm not a huge fan of the style. It has a nice big sewing area and good storage where it's easy to get to.
$100 seems like a lot of money and you can buy those machines for less but you're not going to buy a new machine as nice as that for the same money. The cams and accessories help too. Figure $20 or more for those if you had to buy them separately. The price isn't completely unreasonable. Are they going to have any sales soon or will they negotiate? 603s are good machines. All metal gears inside, later Touch & Sews have nylon gears that are prone to failure.
