The variety of finished blocks is so fun to watch. One pattern completely different looks each time. As to the one finished 11 3/4 it is probably the scant 1/4 inch issue and I would not fix it personally. If your bored and have enough extra of that fabric try it again with a slightly smaller 1/4" inseam that will give you back your 12" block.Worked for me. My block was the same size the first time and the second round (which by the way is much easier the second time as you know what the heck your doing) it came out perfectly 12". If I hadnt done a patriotic quilt last summer I would jump on with the pretty red white blue block. I was fairly tired of those colors however come last August so I will have to squeeze a couple newbies in this year.
