I mean turning a photo into a quilt - see my other post on Leni Wiener. I also purchased Portraits for Fabric Lovers by Marilyn Belford which is in the same "domain" or approach. My main study is about VALUE and I have so much to learn. What I discovered is that this type of quilt is small and kind of like assembling a puzzle. It's a nice feeling to work with a photo of someone you care about. I know my cats will be done at some point. The other thing I really enjoyed was the thread painting process. Fun, fun, fun.
