I just bought a second hand Pfaff Classic Quilt 2027. I wonder if there is a brand/type of thread that is better/worse for the machine. So far Coats Dual Duty seems to work well. So far, I'm having trouble with Coats Machine Quilting and Crafts, Mercerized ELS Cotton, Egyptian, thread. This thread is from Hobbly Lobby, 30 wt, 1200 yards. In price it's comparable to Dual Duty, but it's not feeding through the machine very well, and has broken a few times. I don't know how to decide what the problem is. I have threaded, rethreaded, watched videos on threading and winding bobbin. So, now I wonder if it is the type of thread. Can anyone offer guidance? Thank you.
