I used cloth diapers and diaper pins on my children. I always ran the pin through my hair before pinning it in the diaper and it easily ran through the cloth of the diaper. The oils in your hair work wonders on needles and pins.
I also use my hair to sharpen pins. My friend and I lay out and pin the foursies for the charity quilts at a local church. One of the younger gals said she just had to ask what in the world we were doing after watching us "scratch our heads" with the pins. We all had a good chuckle and now she is "scratching her head" too.
