OK. The throat plate I have is just a straight stitch. Mom is certain her "Singer" that did chain stitch was plain black and big like the Standard. I wonder if she got something that had been 'refurbished' or what but it wasn't converted from a treadle to electric - go figure. It was a treadle. She says she misses it. That was traded in for a Featherweight in 1948. LOL
