One of the things I thought I would like about having the sewing room in the basement was that the laundry is also down there and I could quilt and do laundry at the same time. Well. I'm off today, so I put a load of laundry in and sat down with some practice sammiches to work on my FMQ. Two hours later, I came out of my quilting coma, stood up to stretch and walked to the other side of the basement only to realize the washer had finished the load AND DINGED to let me know, and I never heard a thing. Oh, well.
