You may want to go to your local sewing machine shop. My last sewing machine purchase was in the used machines aisle - the woman brought it home, changed her mind and returned it. I was able to buy it as "used". You can try them in the store before you buy and there are a lot of trade ins when people want to buy up to a better model.
