well you have to be careful not to burn the wood. I have actually heated gun stocks in the oven.... it just brings the oil to the surface, wipe off the oil sometimes use a little alcohol to kind of "float it out.. and repeat, you can try some water on the rag... the oil would "float on water.... if you steam that area IF it is oil that would help lift it out. or you could try using a hair dryer or a heat gun ( careful) to heat up that rea and see if any oil raises up ....
