Regards the Free Long Bobbin rotary. The bobbin does not rotate, what rotates is the shaft that drives the shuttle.
Instead of swinging back and forth like most it rotates moving the shuttle back and forth through a u-joint. Mine is the quietest and smoothest VS I have.
