I use the large binder clips that can be purchased at any office supply store to help hold my rulers firmly to the end of my cutting table to prevent any slipping. By using my hand pressure on the ruler opposite the binder clip I'm able to cut without the ruler moving. Works for both square and long rectangula rulers. Inexpensive alternative to the quickcut.
