I have to say that I have several name brand walking feet that I bought specific to my machine. They all broke pretty fast. I found a nice generic one with a metal bar that goes over the needle bar (vs the name brand being plastic) and that one works great and has lasted the longest. So I guess I have been lucky with generic vs. name brand. I don't use a walking foot for piecing.
