Geri B, You actually trace the pattern on the fusible web not the fabric, then iron it onto the wrong side of the fabric, then do the cutting on the lines you just drew. Does that make sense? The fusible makes it a lot easier to do both the tracing and the cutting. It might not be your "thing" anyway but the fusible makes it easy to make these patterns/quilts.
