I sew a 1/4 inch seam all the way around the two squares I put right sides together and then cut on the diagonal. I end up with 4 triangle units. You can also sew on the diagonals and cut the entire square unit in vertically and horizontally and you get 4 triangle units. It depends on how much you like bias edges. Lol.
