I've become a convert to Maxi-lock serger thread (100% polyester). I like to FMQ rather fast with my Juki TL2010Q and this thread handles it quite well. I've got a wide collection of threads that I have tried and while none have *failed* so to speak, some are a lot lintier than others. When I have used any cotton thread, such as Gutermann, Aurifil, Threadart, C&C, I end up with more lint (and with C&C, a lot more lint). I have found I need to take my plate off and clean a lot less with the Maxi-Lock than anything else I have used. It also has the advantage of being very economical, as I have been getting it at Wawak.com for $1.79 for 3000 meters. I've gone through 4 cones of this thread in the past two months and like it more all the time.
