I made an entire quilt out of homespun, front and back. I cut strips and sewed together by rows. I did prewash the fabric first. I washed it after I quilted it and it turned out so soft, I loved it. I did not have any particular problem with fraying. I still have a lot of homespun and need to make something else with it. It makes good rag quilts also.
