I'm tempted to name this quilt "Tension Troubles." I spent more time taking out ruined quilting than I did actually quilting it. I came very close to throwing the whole thing away.

After consulting a Handiquilter representative and Superior Threads, the tension troubles were because of an out-of-round bobbin case after dropping it, and the fact that Superior So Fine thread does not play well with my YLI monofilament top thread... even if the So Fine thread is what they put in their prewound bobbins. When I switched back to my usual DMC Embroidery Thread in the bobbin, the tension issues went away.
My guild has a block of the month. Everyone brings in their version of that month's block and one lucky person gets to take all of the blocks home. The Garden Path block was April's block. I liked it so much that I decided to be the lucky person and keep it for myself to make my own quilt.

I had enough of the floral and pink fabrics in my stash. Both fabrics were given to me, and I didn't care for either of them until I put them together.
