I've used the maryquilt quick strippie quite a bit. In fact, I just enlarged it with a rather large piece of fabric I bought for about 33cents, added strips and an alternating color and I like it.

Also, up and down strips...

Let me show you. This first one is the Mary quilts quick strippie with borders added.

Here's one for a double quilt. The fabric is heavy and I didn't want to work with small pieces.

(I'm sure it's an acrylic/poly or something--not cotton).
