Default Finished "Pink Lemonade" chevron quilt

This was a quickie quilt for a friend going through a rough patch with a divorce and a new home. Pink is her favorite color. The name of the quilt is "Pink Lemonade". The label reads "Sometimes life gives you lemons so I made some Pink Lemonade". The pink is for the lemonade, the grey is for the ice cubes!

Simple chevron quilt - scrappy pinks and greys, made with the HST method.

Grey Zigs are quilted with lineal stripes - first marked and then quilted with a walking foot. Thread is Aurifil 50wt grey variegated thread.

Pink Zags are quilted in feathers (my first feathers on a real quilt), all free motion on a domestic, free hand - not marked. Thread is variegated pink Sulky 30wt.

Batting is Hobb's Tuscany 100% wool.

Size is 53" X 61"

The first picture is after I quilted it, but before binding and final laundering. The remaining pictures are after final laundering. I'll try to get a picture of the quilt with the recipient Monday when I go to work. It's a surprise gift.

Thanks for looking.
