No one has to feel like they have to use 1930s reproduction fabrics for this quilt.
You can use any thing you want...batiks, civil war, or just any scraps you have on hand. I have decided to go with just a few coordinating fabrics this time. For the Farmers Wife Pony Club quilt I used all (or most all) Kansas Troubles fabrics.
