Stilletto's are a good idea, but you can buy a big pack of the short wood skewer's for next to nothing and give everyone their own. Something similar to this

I love the idea of using the dollar placemats to make a sewing mat/tool storage area. Take 3 and make 2 of them as door prizes. I'm thinking, 1 whole one to go under machine, then cut the other in half, sew the cut part to the inside, turn it and then make pockets. Should be very quick.
