Right then I've sorted out what my problem was. Basically, I was working out my fabric quantity correctly...was delighted to follow all your instructions and realise that my method was the same......however, whilst I worked out my fabric requirements for the 8" chevrons accurately, I actually had inadvertently added my extra fabric requirements for the smaller chevrons........wait for it...........twice! aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh! And now, after all this self imposed angst and headache I've decided I would prefer to do the larger chevrons as I'll have more room in them for quilting. sigh..always was one for coming at things the long way around!
