The fiddlebase is nice. So is the New Goodrich. The lamps are just sad and they aren't as common as your average Singers either. I really hope the Franklin isn't the Scarab pattern. I like that pattern.
You might be able to salvage the machines but it's likely the spool pin holes were drilled out to accept the lamp hardware. That damage will always be there but may not be too noticeable.
There are ways to display a sewing machine as a lamp without damaging it. Put the machine on a nice wooden base with the lamp post hidden behind it. The machine can be made to function again later if the owner chooses. A lamp shade would be nice too. Those old style bulbs look cool when they're off but I still wouldn't want them shining in my eyes.
