I sew the dryer sheet on to my applique on the top then cut an area on the sheet in the middle of the sheet, flip it to the back, iron, and all my eges are in back of the applique. No raw edges. I even do this when I do fusible applique. Much neater looking and definitly will not fray when the raw edges are enclosed. Just a tip I thought I would share.
