Cabinet hardware ?
I am curious how these parts are generally supposed to be installed. This is the wood piece from inside the Featherweight cabinet. It has hinges so it can flip up to allow knee room. On the side there is a metal piece that screws in with a round depression (hole) in the center that engages with a spring loaded bump to secure it.
I'm not sure what this type of thing is called. In the cabinet I have, the parts were too snug so that once the panel was flipped up, it locked in place too hard. I took it off to get a better look at it and see if I could make it function better.
It seemed just a bit raised off the surface of the wood. I sorta get the feeling it should have been tapped a bit to set into the wood a bit deeper? Is anyone familiar with this type of catch?
