Sherry..I just checked on the 4 items the Alumni donated...we were pleased, especially when the ISU basket brought a little more than the Iowa one. LOL
The $500 our four baskets earned goes to a fund to reduce the cost of membership of each 4-Her. When my kids and I were members there was no cost. Now it is $30 a year per member. Next year there will be 3 Grands in the program, so this is near and dear to me.
Yay for ISU! There were some really cute baskets, what a great idea for a fund raiser for 4-H; no cost when I was in either - I suppose everything costs more now, like admin and meeting sites, etc. I really liked the barn quilts and thought about bidding, but I don't even have a spot for a 2 foot one, my house just isn't built to hang something like that.
