Definitely quilt the blocks, as others suggested, or you will have a raveling mess. I would use them on decorative pillows on the bed rather than ones that are used for sleeping. It's not just the lines on the face (I have enough already, thank you) but the more frequent laundering of the pillowcases that are used at night.
