I have an iPad 3, and my hubs has a Nexus 7 tablet.
The tablet has is smaller (7"), where my iPad 3 is about 10".
My hubs gave about $250 three (3) years ago for his tablet.
However my iPad was almost free (was given to me by the
"other" Louise (step-MIL), it was my payment for doing some
sewing work for her.
Both are capable of internet, but you need to at least have Wi-Fi
available.
