If honoring gift cards will sink a shop, they should get a new accountant. They are paid cash for those gift cards, so if they honor them, they have still made a profit from the sale. I will not buy gift cards that expire. Making them expire is just a way to make money for nothing. If a gift card expires, the stores hope you will put them away and forget them. I will not do business like that. It amounts to betting my disability will make them a profit, and therefore they are not an honest business. Nuff said.
