I have had no problem getting the red out. The only thing I would say is to toss a Shout Color Catcher in the tub with the fabric especially with a lot of red. I went into a blind panic once when all the white in my quilt turned pink. It all rinsed out, but now I make sure to add a Color Catcher for my own peace of mind. It is the yellow that I have to scrub the most to get out. I used it thinking it would be easiest to get out even though it's the hardest to see. Not so.
