All the guts of the machine are being cleaned with oil only. Painted or "silver" pieces that can be removed are going to the sink to be cleaned and are not coming back until they are totally dry, then any get a light oil. Not a good idea?
Glad you were more specific. I clean those chrome parts up with Dawn or Oxyclean some times a little of each. Then
IF there is rust I put them in a zip bag with a little water and a little citric acid or use vinegar to soak for a couple hours. If I have it, I use Evap-o-rust - it's quicker.
