Thatquilt brings people in that Brenda hasn't...whether they're using the name of the quilt or not. thatquilt is no different than quilt shops teaching pattern completion as long as each student purchases their own materials.
I also think that if I were publishing patterns they'd be original, not copies of another quilter's work.
